Join us for a full-day kayak tour around beautiful Kalvøy, the heart of Ryfylke archipelago.
The view from Kalvøy is a panorama of Stavanger in the West, and the high mountains of the inland in the East. Here the distance between islands is short, with quiet bays, narrow passages in shallow waters. Close-up to nature, when kayaking, you can explore the seabed underneath, and the wildlife on the seaside. We might also see Harbour Seals, Porpoises, Mink and Sea Eagles during our full-day adventure.

The guide will meet you at 9:45 am am outside the waiting room at the Tau ferry pier. The address to the pier is Fiskepiren and it's located just 10 minutes walk from the main pier for the cruise ships.
From the pier in Stavanger city center, we will take a high speed vessel to the basecamp, kayak, Kalvøypark. This 30 minutes ferry ride is quite an adventure. The boat moors at several islands before ending up at Kalvøy, which is the final destination and start of the kayak-trip.
When arriving at Kalvøy, there will be a 10 minute walk on gravel road to the dressing room. At Kalvøy Maritime Park there are also toilet facilities.
The English speaking guide and instructor will take you trough the wonderful landscape of small islands and reeves, staying close to land. The length of the journey is adjusted to your skill-level.
We start out in shallow waters, until you are ready for real kayaking. After a short safety brief, we enter the kayaks, and the adventure begins!
We take it easy, getting to know the kayak. The guide and instructor will give you basic kayak training.
Like on all of our kayak-trips, wildlife is abundant. You will see a lot of birds, and if we are lucky, we might see both seal and mink.
Close to land, under your kayak, you can explore the seabed. If you paddle very quiet, you might see some fish and crabbs.
